Introduction

Cancer is a dreaded disease. In recent years cancer has not only become a common disease but the accelerating occurrence involving the younger age group & patients report at an advanced stage for treatment is a matter of growing concern all over the world.

There are various agencies working all over on cancer control. The Cancer Detection Society of India ( CDSI ) is also actively engaged in controlling the disease through its braches all over the country.

Rajasthan is a developing state & shares the same increasing incidence of cancer. The problem in the state on epidemiological, social & economical situation has been surveyed to address the burden & define the priority intervention within the areas of prevention, treatment, & terminal care.
Therefore, the CDSI identified need to open a chapter as Rajasthan Cancer Relief.

Rajasthan Cancer Relief ( RCR ) is a compassionate concern commissioned with community contribution & was inaugurated by Hon'ble Princess Diya Kumariji of Jaipur. Shri Rajeev Arora vice president PCC Rajasthan was the Presiding Officer.

The event was commissioned & conducted by Dr. Suraj Verma President Cancer Detection Society of India & Founder President of Rajasthan Cancer Relief. Shri Bhim Singh, Dr. C.S.Galundia, Mr. J. K Ranka, Dr M. Kol Bhandari & Shri J. P Soni are the main founder members of RCR.
We have the blessings of Shri Ashok Gehlot Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan as our Patron-in Chief & Hon'ble Princess as our Patron.

Survey-----The free cancer check-up camp was organised after a proper publicity & survey. The cancer warning signs & symptoms were explained by our survey team which were written on the hand bills as well as on prescription paper. Cancer educating literature were also distributed during the survey.
The survey was done on following points;-
Name, Address, Age , Gender, Occupation, Diet, Education, Habits & Complaints.
The masses were motivated to attend the camp on the offer of free medicines, free net working treatment facilities, follow up care, possible financial help by cancer adoption agencies & free diagnostic procedures.
The entire event was sponsored by the H.H. Marudhar Kanwar Trust City Palace. The Cancer Detection Society of India contributed Medicines, Cancer Experts, Instruments, Equipment, Cancer survey team, Lab tests, diagnostics etc.
